The Cornwall Center has the guidance of two advisory councils.  These councils meet periodically to discuss current projects and future directions.  

Faculty Advisory Council - Chaired by Dr. Stephanie Bush-Baskette, the Faculty Advisory Council is composed of faculty with an interest and commitment to urban issues.  The Council was established in February 2001 to advise the Center on emerging research needs and to make recommendations on future projects.  

Community Advisory Council - Chaired by Dr. Stephanie Bush-Baskette, the Community Advisory Council is composed of leaders in the local community.   Established in November 2001, the purpose of the Community Advisory Council is to advise the Center on new initiatives and ongoing activities.  The Council will also assist with strategic planning and offer insight and analysis on the public policy environment in Newark, Essex County and northern New Jersey.
