Demonstration Projects

Demonstration projects give us another way to ensure that research gets translated into real practice.  Cornwall helps shape projects, staffs them, helps develop the resource base, and, with its community partners, does the capacity-building to ensure their long-term viability. Capacity-building can happen at the level of individuals, organizations, perhaps even neighborhoods. In this work, we are very mindful of the need to build on the human resources that exist even in our most disenfranchised neighborhoods.  Current demonstration projects include the Newark City of Learning Collaborative and the Newark Fairmount Promise Neighborhood, both described under “Current and Future Projects.”
